Feast of Farewells
Today is to be know as the Feast of Farewells, for today marks the end of the winter season. To celebrate we are having a grand feast, but this feast is also to mourn for and remember all those who were lost during the winter, to say a final farewell with the passing of winter.
Tonight is also a night of another farewell, my farewell. Today at the feast I will be announcing that I am leaving the colony to go and settle with Indians and live among them. Their lifestyle has fascinated me ever since I have arrived and now I have finally made the decision to live among them so I may be fully immersed in their culture.
If you are wishing to contact New Africa my successor as Leader will be Rex PowerCult
So to all of you I say my final farewells, and my your new lives be better than your last.

The harsh cold of this everlasting winter seems to drag on forever. Many cannot remember the last time of true warm and some doubt that it will ever return. Though we stockpiled enough for the winter our food supply seems as if it is running very low. But that is not our real problem, that is disease and sickness. Already during this winter we have lost 7 people to various diseases and 1 man who froze to death while he was out hunting .Hopefully as this winter season is heading towards an end we can all survive just a bit longer to escape the colds hands of winter.

Successful Hunting
Hunting excursion.
We left this morning before dusk, the group consisting myself and three other townsmen. After we had left the colony we were joined by a few of our native friends. Today we are going out to search for moose and deer to bring back to stock up for the beginning of winter. We are also going to check our traps for beavers, because the last trade ship back to the Old World is leaving in a few days and if we wish to catch them before winter starts we must head out soon.
As we checked the traps along the way we seemed to be off to a very successful start as we had already been fortunate enough to have caught a beaver in every trap we checked thus far. Hopefully our luck will continue and even extend to help us in our hunt for deer and moose. The natives we are with are taking us to a clearing a few kilometers away from the colony, where there is a small pond where they say many animals go to find food and water.
Thankfully our luck has extended to the hunt and we have been able to gather much meat to stockpile for the coming winter. The area we went to hunt was very full of life and that allowed us to kill many deer and moose. And today is also a day for celebration because David, the son of Mark a local farmer, has today made his first kill by himself. We will be happily returning to the colony with plenty of food and also many pelts to sell.

Hello,
My name is Major Major, and my fellow settlers and I have just landed in the New World. We have settled near the Newfoundland and have come together to create the colony of New Africa. Part of our group is made of the typical farm families, much like those who have already came to the New World. The other part of our group, which includes myself, is made up of men and women who are fur trappers and hunters, coming to the New World for adventure and a chance to start a different life.
