Successful Hunting

Hunting excursion.

We left this morning before dusk, the group consisting myself and three other townsmen. After we had left the colony we were joined by a few of our native friends. Today we are going out to search for moose and deer to bring back to stock up for the beginning of winter. We are also going to check our traps for beavers, because the last trade ship back to the Old World is leaving in a few days and if we wish to catch them before winter starts we must head out soon.
As we checked the traps along the way we seemed to be off to a very successful start as we had already been fortunate enough to have caught a beaver in every trap we checked thus far. Hopefully our luck will continue and even extend to help us in our hunt for deer and moose. The natives we are with are taking us to a clearing a few kilometers away from the colony, where there is a small pond where they say many animals go to find food and water.
Thankfully our luck has extended to the hunt and we have been able to gather much meat to stockpile for the coming winter. The area we went to hunt was very full of life and that allowed us to kill many deer and moose. And today is also a day for celebration because David, the son of Mark a local farmer, has today made his first kill by himself. We will be happily returning to the colony with plenty of food and also many pelts to sell.

  1. I would be very happy to begin trading with you, if it means peace between our colonies and good relations in the future. Perhaps we can make arrangements for a trade that could benefit the both of us.
